| Was bound out as an indentured servant as a child in 1743. in the 1787 Census of Virginia he owned five horse, 21 cattle and 300 acres of land. He purchased several slaves, some of whom may be relatives. Abraham fought for two years in the Revolutionary War in the Fourth Virginia Regiment (1780). He fought in the battle of Guilford Courthouse and Entain Springs. |
